SleepPrint is Nappedia's 1-10 mattress score. It combines 12 weighted categories, verified evidence, and a separate sleeper-fit layer so readers can see both the overall quality of a mattress and whether it fits their body, sleep position, and priorities.

The SleepPrint score is a mattress-quality score, not a promise that one mattress will fit every sleeper. It answers: how strong is this mattress across the traits most likely to affect sleep comfort, support, durability, and ownership experience?

Weights sum to exactly 100%, which keeps every review comparable across brands, constructions, and price points.
The final weighted result is reported on a 1-10 scale with one decimal place and a plain-language performance tier.
Every category receives a 1-10 score. That score is multiplied by the category weight. The weighted points are added and divided by 100.
If comfort scores 8.6 and carries a 15% weight, it contributes 129 weighted points before the model divides by 100.
Category scores can use decimals internally. Public SleepPrint scores round to one decimal place so small measurement noise does not look more precise than it is.
If a core category cannot be tested or verified, the review must disclose the gap. We do not fill missing evidence with brand claims.
Weights are intentionally uneven. Research and consumer data point to comfort, firmness/support, temperature, and pain-related pressure concerns as the most important mattress-specific satisfaction drivers, so core sleep performance carries half the score.

Each review translates the category evidence into fit guidance across sleep position, body weight, heat sensitivity, partner disturbance, and mobility needs. Fit is shown as strong, mixed, or limited.
This prevents double-counting. Support and pressure relief already carry 26% of the base score, so adding a hidden "side sleeper bonus" would inflate the same traits twice.
The tier labels are intentionally conservative. A mattress needs balanced performance across the high-weight categories to reach the top tiers.
